Tree of Life | Biographical Ceramic Sculpture

Tree of Life is a life told in clay.
Each piece is hand-built as a deeply personal ceramic portrait of a life — gathering together the people, animals, places, memories and small details that make someone who they are. Some celebrate loved ones who are here; others hold space for those who are no longer with us.
Figures, branches, birds, objects and symbols grow through the sculpture, each carrying its own piece of the story. Candle holders are incorporated into the work too, bringing light into the piece and creating a place to pause, remember and celebrate.
These are not conventional family trees or memorials. They are individual, sometimes joyful, sometimes complicated, sometimes funny — because lives are.
Made carefully by hand in my Lincoln studio, every Tree of Life is completely unique: a biography in ceramic, made for loved ones past and present.
